Affordable housing

Ph.D. Candidate at the University of British Columbia. Urban and Regional planning / Sustainability. Hoda Pourpirali's research is focused on studying the impact of the 2023 Provincial Policies contained in Bill 44 (Small Multi-Unit Homes) and Bill 47 (Transit Oriented Areas) on Kelowna's affordable housing. She explained her research methodology, which includes both quantitative data analysis and qualitative resident surveys, and addressed questions about displacement risks, gentrification, and housing affordability definitions.  To assist her with her research, she needs people to complete her survey.
