About Us
Rotary is a worldwide organization of more than 1.3 million business, professional, and community leaders in 200 countries, who make a difference in the communities in which they live. Rotarians provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. Clubs are non-political, non-religious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds. As signified by the motto Service Above Self, Rotary's main objective is service - in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world.
At over 40 members strong, The Rotary Club of Kelowna Ogopogo is one of the largest clubs in Kelowna. It was organized in 1998 Our members develop exciting community service projects that address many critical issues, including: children at risk, poverty and hunger, urban violence, illiteracy, drug abuse, and many more.
Our Work
The various Philanthropic Committees and our Charitable Foundation work to make an impact on several economic, social and environmental challenges including: homelessness, hunger, social injustice, gender inequality, access to education, environmental sustainability, and challenges of recent immigrants and the poor. Funding priority is directed to the fields of health, education, youth and welfare, primarily in the Kelowna Area but also internationally.
