Presentation of this non profit Organization and all Classes offered

Thank you very much to Val and Bronagh last evening for a fantastic presentation of the Society for Learning in Retirement, known as SLR at our Afternoon Meeting at Spaces Innovation on Doyle.

The SLR was born in the spring of 1995. With an initial enrolment of 100 members and a handful courses, it has now more than 1.000 members, over 250 classes a year, and over 180 teachers/speakers. Classes are in person and online. Membership and class fees are affordable.

Many different topics offered from History, Astronomy, Travels, Meditation to Philosophy Ethics, Art Workshops, Gardening, Fly fishing...you name it !

Welcoming inclusive environnment, the SLR offers retired and semi-retired persons in the Central Okanagan and beyond, to share the camaraderie of learning regardless of their formal education.

One of SLR's motto: "Curiosity never retires".
