Welcome to the Rotary Club of Kelowna Ogopogo!
We are delighted that you have taken the time to learn more about our club and the work we do. Rotary is about people coming together to create positive change, and our Ogopogo Club is a place where friendship, service, and fun go hand in hand.
Our members are united by a shared commitment to making a difference through hands-on volunteer projects, fundraising initiatives, and support for programs that improve the lives of children and adolescents both locally and abroad. Every project we undertake and every dollar we raise helps create lasting, positive change in our community and beyond.

Children and youth are at the heart of our service. We support programs that help young people feel safe, included, healthy, inspired, and prepared for their future. Locally, our financial support has helped organizations and initiatives including:
- Child & Youth Advocacy Centre – supporting children and youth who have experienced abuse or trauma.
- Elevation Outdoors – helping young people build confidence, resilience, and connection through outdoor experiences.
- YMCA Free Swim Program – helping make swimming and water safety accessible to local families.
- BrainTrust Canada Helmets Program – promoting safety and injury prevention for children and youth.
- Autism Kelowna – supporting families and children living with autism.
- International Children's Games Kelowna Team – helping young athletes represent Kelowna and experience the power of sport and international friendship.
- iGen Challenge – encouraging high school students to explore innovation, entrepreneurship, and new ideas.
- Central Okanagan Performing Arts Festival – supporting young people as they develop and showcase their talents in the performing arts.
- Make a Difference Beyond Kelowna
Our commitment to children and youth extends beyond our local community. Through international projects, we help create opportunities for young people and communities around the world. Our international initiatives include:
- Libraries for elementary schools in Honduras – helping children gain access to books for education and to foster the joy of reading.
- High school scholarships in Honduras – helping students continue their education and pursue their goals.
- School Water Project in Mazatlán – supporting access to safe water for students and the surrounding community.
- Technology for schools in Honduras – helping modernize education by providing students and teachers with access to technology.
- Hearing Clinic in the Dominican Republic – helping improve access to hearing services and support.
We Don't Just Write Cheques—We Show Up
Giving back isn't only about financial support. Our members volunteer their time, energy, and talents to help make our community stronger. For us, volunteering is about more than completing a project. It's about being present, lending a hand, and building connections with the people and organizations that make our community stronger.
